I might make use the slide stop but I wouldn't reverse the mag release, that's just me.

I use my thumb, it just has to be in my right hand. Left hand, trigger finger. That is why I don't reverse 'em, I don't want mix that up.

I like my Walther Pistols in M1. My issue with button release is that it's possible (and has) allowed pressure from the holster and body contact to disengage the magazine which is very troublesome when it counts.

HK has what you need. Unless you are looking for something that is more pocket carry friendly. Although I pocket carry my P30SK without issue.

Anything striker fired....personally, I've had ambi-safety guns come "off safe" while carrying, not a pleasant feeling.

I have to shoot left handed a lot at work. I use an M&P which is completely lefty convertible.

I'm really digging my HK VP9SK. It's full ambi so you can switch hands at will. Some people hate the paddle-style mag release, but personally I love it.

My primary is a 3rd gen S&W. Safety is ambi and I ordered a lefty mag release from Numrich. I shoot either hand depending on the day an activities planned outside the house so I have two; one lefty, one righty.

Glock 26 & 43. Ease of carry and simplicity of use, either left or right handed. Plenty of holster selections and aftermarket support.

I carry an M&P 40c as a southpaw and strongly recommend it. I carry a full size magazine, which makes it a little more challenging to conceal but I think I pull it off well.
