We should all be prepared for ANY type of disaster. Down south, they have hurricanes. In the midwest they have tornadoes and droughts. In the northern part of the country and the mountain states, they have blizzards. On the coasts they can have tsunamis. Here in southern Oregon, we have to go over mountain passes in all directions to leave this area. Our food arrives over these passes. If we have a snowstorm like they did in 1948, these passes could be closed for days. We have also had major floods here which blocked the roads.
So, no matter where you are, you should store some food, water and other essentials just in case.
