Yep I don't block anyone never I like to hear there side even though he calls me out I will never block him I'm going to listen to what he has to say and I won't hold back my opinions that's the way it is

Yeup, wasr. Modified a different top cover to have a William's peep sight on it, just need to build it up with epoxy to tighten up the top cover.

I'm trying my damnedest to keep politics out of this.. This thread should be about respectful use of local gravel pits but that has proven challenging. Sorry if I violated the rules.

I've been considering an AK and if I grab one I think I'm definitely going to throw peep sights on mine

If you do, its easier to get a TWS dogleg rail with the peep sight. I had to use a 8-32 tap on the peep sight (its for a t bolt for future reference), then drill into the top cover (which is a PITA, I couldn't use any punch to put a dent in it before drilling). However, due to the variances in AKs, you'd most likely need to build it up with epoxy.

Currently I went back to the handguard without the grip and back to the original rear sight. This was mostly an experiment I did out of boredom, its easier and cheaper to just get used to the stock iron sights.

Haha this is all why I'm leaning towards an AR. AKs have an undeniable cool factor though, and they're a lot of fun. Lee Armory has a few on sale and it's tempting.

Well, I went from the AR to an AUG. Had a SKS, and prefer that, but its easier to get my mother to the range with an AK (the only gun she wasn't afraid of), so I traded the SKS for the wasr.

As far as the politics go, I disagree with socialism and have reason to. I come from South Korea where we can't own a gun, and bordering South Korea is another communist nation. While economically South Korea is capitalist, it has the socialist and communist mindset, and so far any nation similar has strict gun control. Most of the socialists in the U.S are opposed to gun ownership as well, so while I'm not holding you personally to it, there is enough reason for me to be sketchy about anyone who claims to be a socialist. Plus my ideal for the government opposes socialism as well.

That aside, don't pose a threat to me and I'm not going to threaten anyone.

Ok I'll throw you a bone here the AK WAS DESIGNED AROUND OPEN SIGHTS or was made to have open sights with s adjustable rear sight out to 900 meters if I remember right but really design to be used in 600 meters or less but if you want to mount a real site on one you need one of these and tools like he said drill and tap the mount and if you really want range a new barrel but it's a AK THEY ARE NOT KNOWN FOR LONGER SHOTS BUT FOR RELIABLE

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I just feel that on the range and in this forum that kind of stuff should be left elsewhere.

EPS yeah some aka are sighted out to 1000 which is kind of ridiculous and others up to 800 just depends on the model. I'm probably going to add an AR to my safe soon but the those Lee armory deals are giving me pause.
