Well it wasn't really anything except me being bored and trying to stir the pot and get a argument started but it failed it used to work but now the only way is to talk about left and right I guess
I guess I'm not a very good troll hmmmm I'll have to find something else too do when I'm bored with the conversationJust a heads up- this is kind of the very definition of troll behavior, that would normally get a person kicked off of some forums.
I assume you had no malicious intent and it was all in fun...
I hate to say it but here are the facts and I am not an Obama Supporter....
"During his first term Obama didn't call for any major new restriction on guns or gun owners. Instead he urged authorities to enforce the state and federal laws already on the books. In fact, Obama signed only two major laws that address how guns are carried in America, and both actually expand the rights of gun owners.
One of the laws allows gun owners to carry weapons in national parks; that law took effect in February 2012 and replaced President Ronald Reagan's policy of required guns be locked in glove compartments of trunks of car that enter national parks.
Another gun law signed by Obama allows Amtrak passengers to carry guns in checked baggage, a move that reversed a measure put in place after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001."
He did sign 23 executive orders....and yes, that pesky UN gun ban.....
George Bush really did nothing to help or hurt, well you could say hurt, it took him a good year to kill the Assault Weapons Ban.
Clinton was the worse, we he was the one who brought in a lot of bubblegum, including the AWB, which was a bit of an addition to George HW Bush's ban in 1989 and others.
Reagan was good too with his additions to the Supreme Court. But in 1994, he was a supporter of the ASB which helped make its way through Congress...
Facts are, Clinton is the biggest Winner of the loss of Gun Rights on the National Level..
Well I guess now would be a good time to apologize to everyone for that post what can I say I was a a$$ trying to start shi+ I got to take a break from the internet all the bad stuff is affecting my better judgement
Yep I tend to drift myself lol I a few native American friends and my aunt is of native American decent it's a hot topic if you want to start trouble what can say the conversation was getting boring and someone brought up Custer and I was dumb enough and drunk enough to try to stir the pot lol I'M SORRY TO EVERYONE AND MOST OF ALL I'M SORRY TO THE NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLE I went back and read my post it was a stupid spure of the moment post I should have never said thatBy the way, I wasn't terribly offended by your NDN comment. I figured it was a joke of some kind, I just didn't quite understand.
I have some Native American ancestry myself, but you'd never know it by looking at me.
I suppose I should also apologize for contributing to the considerable thread drift on this rather unique thread. I really don't have much to contribute regarding blue helmets and such.
I guess it just bothers me whenever I heard the old canard that Obama's really not bad on guns, and maybe secretly our friend. Who does what politically has a lot more to do with congress, prevailing public opinion, and political momentum. Sure, Bush signed some things we don't like due to conditions at the time. Politicians are politicians and I agree there are very few that you can trust to not sell you out for political expediency, but does anyone seriously think that Obama would not have signed the harshest gun ban had the winds been blowing different and congress had put one before him?
I do have to try to stick up for Reagan a little bit. Sure, the '86 FOPA had some stuff that was ridiculous, as a compromise to pass it, but as a whole I think it did far more good than bad. He's got to get a little credit for that, in my book.
Again, sorry for thread drift. Maybe this would be a better topic for a new thread in a different part of the forum.
Back when I was in the Army and making my living on a LRRP / LRSD Team we often ditched* helmets and armor for mobility.
*Carried them on our rucks or cached them.
Just saying...
Andy
Clintons actions were temporary. He makes a good anti gun poster child because he was such a slimeball but the anti gun prize goes to Franklin Roosevelt and the NFA with Reagan close behind
Despite Trumps rhetoric on the campaign trail he hasnt rolled back a single executive action ( because there never has been an EO issued on gun control. Not one ) concerning imports of guns from Russia or China or parts of any such guns . The '89 import ban is still in place. Still no silencer bill.
