Shooting ranges

Ok so I've been considering buying a new gun but I would like to put some rounds through a couple different ones before making a purchase. I'm a college student so I dont have a whole lot of money so I need to gun I buy to be the one I absolutly want. My question is are there any shooting ranges in washington in the spokane area that I can go and rent pistols and shoot different calibers and find what fits me best??? Also I've heard that the only way I could rent guns at the range would be if I joined a gun club out of that particular range?? Any imput would be a great help, thank you everyone.
