That's a piece of steel on the straps and a bullet fragment hit low left.
1225 Yards with a 260 Remington.

Thanks! Knowing that now, I can see the steel twist and "turn dark" at bullet impact as the fragment hits low left.
Originally, I did not notice the steel at the bottom of the straps at all in my previous viewing.

OMG!!!! Swingers!!!

First time I've shot at swingers in 15 months. They're intimidating for me, but I got 'er done.
I had some sort of crazy mag phuq-up. My third spare mag fell out from beneath my belt, and I ended up picking up a mag with only 5 rds left in it.
But it was enough to finish the CoF... <whew!>
