Been spending quiet evenings with some knives and wood.

Made a dog happy (I hope anyhow). He was at the shelter 2 1/2 months so we sprung him him yesterday, and he's settled in nicely. The being on the porch thing was his idea, so I went with it.

Be careful what you wish for, I used some barb wire on a pistol stand / display and while it looks cool its tricky to dust.

I think this one was cedar. Usually I just grab whatever green wood finds its way to me.

I am currently carving a duck scene on the side of a Rem 870 Stock. I wish I had taken a photo of the fire breathing dragon I carved on a SKS stock guess I'll have to do another some day

the bottom is not quite flat/level...there is a bit of a wobble, but it's so heavy and has a large footprint, it's almost unnoticeable while standing on the top.
