3" of .45 Hulkster!:s0112:
I thought it looked pretty short.
Slowly, very slowly I am coming around to the possibility of owning a 1911 in a different caliber than the grand old 45 ACP, but as of now, I've owned a bunch of 1911 style pistols and only one wasn't 45. (10mm)

1911 and 10 mm is a match made in heaven, likely Ol JM Browning hisself willed it from on high! Once you make the switch, it changes you!
Now, add in he Double Stacks, and it's 1911 perfection!

I always felt a 1911 in anything but .45 ACP was blasphemy until I fired a 9mm Commander sized 1911…. It was like an epiphany, understanding there were other realms of 1911 holiness. So it's ok to have them in .45, 9mm, .38 Super, .38 wadcutter, 10mm….

Allow yourself to explore the goodness of JMB's 1911…

My first 1911 was a Para P12-45. That's a gun I regret selling.
The 10mm was a Dan Wesson CBOB, bought to match the 45 I still have. I say "was", cuz I sold it shortly after buying it. If I'd started loading for it, I may have a different opinion, but there wasn't reasonably priced ammo available and I already had a 41 Mag. I sold a 4" 686+ in the process and still kick myself for that...
A 41 Mag the 10mm isn't.
The 10mm is a polarizing cartridge, much like the 41 Mag. Seems like either you like it or you don't. Me? I was like, "Eh, whatever."

I highly recommend a 1911 in 38 Super. Good enough for John Dillinger, and Baby Face Nelson good enough for me.

Here is a pair that George Madore built for me when we were going to Camp Perry.
The top one is a Bulls eye gun and the Bottom is a Pin Gun for shooting Bowling pins
These had a three point lock up. If you look at the close up, you will see inside the slide is a square plate that put the barrel in the same place every time in lock up. The pin gun was built from scratch Ser.# Linda 1 My wife. Verdeki Triggers and Barstow Barrels. One hole
