I can understand the metal detectors at some events. They are not worried about you or I carrying, but what if a bunch of gang bangers decide to attend? They shoot people for wearing the wrong color shirt or for looking at them wrong. It is a messed up world we live in. If there is enough of a threat that metal detectors are necessary, then I think it is an event that I do not want to attend.
