Yesterdays $800 mix master is todays $1200 gun.
It would be nice if it had arsenal rebuild markings.
Without those who knows who did what. Still it's a $1000-$1200 gun.
There. I said it.
And there ya have it,Folks.I've seen how you operate Stuka.
Good deal.. but here he's saying it's for sale.. he's essentially taking bids.I saw it yesterday, and didn't do anything. It's a "catch-22". I can't move this to the classifieds because all WTS ads require a price and yet the OP doesn't know what to ask for his gun and is looking for advice. I COULD delete the thread entirely, but that doesn't help him out much either. He has listed several firearms in the classifieds and posted prices as he should, and to me this time looks like he's got a piece he has no idea how to determine its value. There is nowhere in the rules of NWFA that states someone can't ask for advice on what a gun is worth.
I have zero interest in this old 1911, however I will add my 2¢.
A friend of mine had a similar Colt with a 1918 frame, and many
mix-master parts. The parts were different than this one, but
non-original just the same. We took it to the WAC gun show
in Puyallup two months ago and he showed it to everyone who
showed an interest. He generated lots of interest, and received
many offers.......finally sold it for $525.
Why don't you just relax. Or switch to decaf.
I don't want to listen to you being just what you denounce.

I have an Ithaca 1911-A1 that was carried in WWII by my Great Uncle. It's not for sale, at any price. And when I say that, I mean it. There is no price that could pry it from my hands.
LOL, it had almost no finish let anywhere. I would guess about maybe 5% left. On top of that it was beat up VERY badly. When I handled it I had the feeling it may come apart in the hand if fired. Someone still just had to have it.Are you talking about the 1944 Remington Rand that had the slides finish rubbed off to shiny bare metal?
