Hand the gun to him and say be safe.
If you think you need to do anything else to record a "transfer",which doesn't exist in WA,except at FFL dealers,or you are worried he may do something wrong with it,don't give it to him.
You can sell or give any gun to any person (save felons and under 18) you want and don't "NEED" to do any paper work unless you fell better doing it,IN WASHINGTON ST
Yes a person under 18 can in fact own a hand gun.
