"Judge Cory Wilson, Judge James Ho, and Judge Edith Jones. These three zealots are hellbent on a deranged vision of guns for all, leaving government powerless to protect its people," Newsom said.
Waitaminnit... did the Governor of California just define a Federal Judge performing his/her proper duty, interpretting and applying THE CONSTITUTION, as a zealot?
The government should concern itself with protecting us from Chinese occupation and infrastructure destruction. That's what Intel and Military branches are for. Pretty sure we can handle the rest. That's what guns are for.

FWIW There is an add in the Classifieds for 30 round Lancer mags. $10-$13 depending on color. Botach is the seller. Oregon is not listed as a restricted state. Prices look very good. Lancer mags are nice.

Thanks. I hadn't seen that. Cali laws don't impact me, so I don't follow that closely.
Offer still stands for a beer or coffee.
I thought that also, but I would argue that isn't always the case. Washington and Oregon seem to follow some of California's lead on things. I don't know if it's because the west coast shares a lot of the same mindset, or the people moving from California to Washington and Oregon still think like Californians and therefore vote on measures that make us more like California.

There's a lot of that, but we mostly self-sort into compatible areas. In my case, for one example, other than the airport nothing in or around Portland is desirable to me.

Having had a front-row seat at Portland during the Nixon/Ford era, and sitting in the bleachers watching Portland and Seattle since, I can tell you that the decline of those two areas began over 50 years ago. Then, Portland was changing from a corrupt classic Boston/Chicago model to the decadent/spendthrift/socialist/social justice model of today.

One interesting facet of this is that the decline was led by the wealthier segments of Portland society. I think it would be a P.H.D. thesis-worthy task to go back and study the reports of the Portland City Club meetings since 1965. My casual monitoring of them when I still watched the "news" verified that these meeting subjects matched closely the mentality of the leadership of the city. Because Portland pretty much prospered (except for some setbacks during recessions) it masked the decline until quite recently. Much of that prosperity came from people leaving declining urban areas to relocate in "unspoiled" Portland. Unfortunately, they brought the bad decision-making with them, and added to the crowding/congestion/lack of services/higher taxes from their previous homes. These wealthy people didn't suffer from their missteps like the normal, working. responsible residents, so they remained ignorant of the damage they were doing. It is only now, with the declining appeal of Portland's business districts leading to empty rental spaces, lower rent revenue, and impending loss of property values, that the "movers and shakers" are waking up.

At first I was hopeful that the Intel move into Hillsboro would bring enlightened engineer-type immigrants, but that was a false hope. It seems that many bailed from Silicon Valley to the Portland area simply to escape the high costs, but kept the mindset of that "easy come, easy go" locality. Now the only hope is that the Hillsboro complex will become uneconomical, like the Hewlett-Packard investments in Corvallis. While perhaps inevitable, it is not likely to happen soon, and will probably be a slow decline based on obsolescent plant, because Intel has chosen to invest elsewhere, probably because of high Oregon taxes.

The fact that many smaller businesses are fleeing Portland shows that they are self-sorting to more compatible areas.

I've seen a decent amount in stock of the common large mags at gun shops. They'll still order the less common ones as well for you. At least @J&B Firearm Sales Inc. will. I was just in there on Monday. You being so much further east, I have a feeling you'll be good.

I think PSA is the only online retailer still shipping into Oregon. Most others I've checked have already restricted them.
I ordered some mags from PSA the other day just fine. But for some reason I wasn't able to purchase anything else. They said "payment authorization rejection from the processor." Spoke with the bank and everything was good on their end.

Wondering if it was because the other stuff I was trying to purchase required an FFL... Anyone know if PSA is still shipping things other than accessories and ammo to Oregon?

I was trying to buy a glock and a couple other things but no luck on them. I went in person to my bank and we did a borderline sleuthing session. I specifically asked if there was any reason they would stop/slow/prohibit a firearm purchase and they said no. I brought up my cart on PSA and we were walking through the whole process live as the rep was looking at my account. The rep said the bank never even got a request from PSA for purchase from PSA's end. Anyhoo, was just curious if anyone else has been having the same issue.

If you're an AK guy, PSA, Arms of America, Atlantic Firearms, K-Var and GunMag Warehouse are still shipping to Oregon. I bought an AK-102 back on Election week and have been stacking 5.56 AK mags like crazy

Anything requiring an FFL might be a little iffy. I know a month or so ago none of the FFL's I called were receiving product due to their own sales volumes. Though in this case, the authorization issue sounds like a weird system problem. Some ecommerce sites use really sensitive AVS systems where using abbreviations, etc can cause errors. Like "1234 S. 1st St." would error because the system is looking for "1234 S 1st St". Or something along those lines. I've also had issues on some where I include the extra 4 digits at the end of my zip code and it throws an error.
