Aren't Hellfires basically worthless as intended missiles without an arming system and a targeting system, but more valuable as a possible IED base?

Looks like Oregon's plans to invade Washington as soon as Olympia has finished dis-arming itself, have been foiled....for now! Watch your back Vancouver...you're on the front lines.
Could be time to close that pesky Serbian Missileshow loophole.

This is an interesting, but still very much a developing story.

Serbia's authorities are investigating reports that a cargo package bound for the U.S. containing two missiles with explosive warheads was found on a passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia.

N1 television said the package with two guided armor-piercing missiles was discovered Saturday by a sniffer dog after an Air Serbia flight from Beirut landed at Belgrade airport.

Serbian media say documents listed the final destination for the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles as Portland, Oregon.

The Lebanon origin is what makes this story somewhat different because the country is currently dominated by Iran and its Shiite terrorist allies. So if this was a terrorist plot, which we don't know that it was, it appears likelier to have originated from Iran than from ISIS. Portland however was the site of a more conventional Sunni Islamic terror plot. But Shiites also have a presence there.

Another twist was the recently "misplaced" Hellfire that ended up in Cuba.

But where would Iran have gotten hellfire missiles? Like most of the US equipment in the hands of Shiite terrorists, Iraq. The US has sold plenty of hellfires to Iraq. And Iraq's government and military these days is controlled by Iran's Shiite puppets.

J.E Dyer, formerly of Naval Intelligence, has more analysis.

"The interesting thing about this – besides the surreal, live-warhead missile aspect – is that the direct link appears to be to Iran-backed Shias. At each link in the chain, that is the simplest possibility.

ISIS and Al-Qaeda are Sunnis – and neither outfit is plugged in directly with a national army that has authorized access to Hellfires. Nor would a flight from Lebanon be their first choice to move Hellfire missiles to the U.S."

Hezbollah is however involved in major international smuggling operations.o_O

I'm not real sure if those are individually "married" to a given warhead.. probably classified.
I'd think if someone can lay hands on a warhead, it would then be possible to obtain the other necessary wares to field it. Also, I think there's a lot of very smart people in the world.. and some of those people are evil and could probably cobble something up. anyway

Just one more reason we shouldn't be giving these kinds of arms to out enemies, or those who say they are our allies.
With our military drawdown our enemies will soon have more arms than we do.

Just thinkin' out load here. You know, there's that space on the Mil-Spec AR barrel that's for a grenade launcher, except we can't have them. Now that we know these missiles are available ...... hmmm.
