Do you think what the officer did was justified?

  • Absolutely!

  • He had no business drawing his weapon!

  • He should have used a taser!

I hear home prices are skyrocketing! Sell!

That they are! The problem now is finding a place we can afford. The places we were considering, before the rona and some medical issues wifey has to get taken care of, don't have homes in our range, or in any reasonable range any more. They're all filled up! I can't do the cold ever again. (Yet, I should say) Even Ana-fricking-conda Montana doesn't have any homes for sale where two years ago $350,000.00 would get a dandy 2,500 sq/' home! There are few of those 650-900 sq/' 90 YO factory workers homes. The people are flocking from the cities to smaller towns that aren't run by the psycho-socialists. That still work for ALL the people.
Foster & 72nd.
North Gate to Felony Flats.
Yeah, okay. Thanks. You DO have a true view of where potland is at. I admire your outlook of potland not being completely in the toilet yet. I wish I felt there was something that could be done to stop it's complete flushing.

With all the ridiculous news about totally demonizing the cop as a 'murderer', 'killer' and how he 'should be convicted and sent to prison' , It was suggested on FOX news this morning they try to get hold of the family of pinky who was SAVED! I'll bet they have a completely different 'take' on the cop and his actions!

And don't even get me started on that pigsucker Lebron James......

I'd almost bet ya' $5.00 that Pinky's family would NOT have a different take...

And what does a fricken' basketball player have to do with anything? People really care what any of them have to say anymore?

Wanna know what's weird?
Have you looked at your home's valuation lately???
Lowest price in my hood are low 400's now. But I live in a pocket of old timers and homeowners.
I lucked out on a tiny house - big property deal with the lowest property tax bracket imaginable.
PDX planning czars hate people like me. :)

There is an angle to be exploited to further the narrative that there is a full on race war, because TPTB need a full on race war to justify the creation of the Police State, which has been the end game since the beginning of the Summer of Love.

BTW - BiMart in TD has Winchester 12ga 00 Buck for just a shade over a buck a round.

I believe the officer was correct to use deadly force to prevent death.

In no way, can it be argued this girl did not have intent to cause extensive harm and or death to the other girl.

I can't pick apart this one in any way shape or form to understand it any differently.

About the only argument that might possibly be made is that less deadly force could have been used instead. taser wouldn't have been affective at the distance in the video, perhaps a bean bag round. That would require officers to readily carry yet another item and be properly trained on it. We all ready have a recent video showing long time veteran officers can mistake a less lethal weapon for their sidearm in a stressful situation.

This really can't be seen as racism either. Nothing here is racist.

Is the other side arguing excessive force? Or racism? Or both?

So far, I've seen the generic racism and murder tossed around.

I've also seen:
- why didn't he use a taser or no weapon at all?
- why did he have to shoot to kill? (to which my rant response is above)
- it wasn't a knife it was a nail file! (to which, the dispatch call told them they were walking into a knife attack...so, even if the object was not a knife and was blunt, it would have been reasonable for the officer to believe it was a knife)

I'm awaiting more information, specifically some sort of statement from pink jumpsuit lady and details as to who was what at that encounter. For example, after lady #1 gets thrown to the ground, male #1 attempts to kick her while she's down...why?

There is a lot of context to this encounter missing. Though, I can see why the department was quick to release the video footage after reading some of the initial (and very wrong) reports/news.

To the people on this site that did not vote "absolutely", 7 of you so far... please see your way out; you are on the wrong forum. Imagine that is your daughter in pink about to be stabbed... would you change your vote then? Because that girl in pink is someone's daughter, and the cop saved her life. The outrage is a false narrative, propaganda, and nothing more. I'm sorry the knife holder had to die, but she was obviously in a psychotic rage and was within seconds of possibly killing someone else. Her life, no matter her color, became forfeit for her impending felony.

Awwww did you feel belittled? Perhaps you should follow through on my prior post then, because your still missing it....
No, not really. I don't pay much attention to many people on the internet.

Especially people with inflated beliefs in self importance.

However I was speaking of how you reply to people and speak of others in general, not me specifically.

Neighbor has security footage and saw the whole thing.

"I believe in truth and facts. Video doesn't lie," he noted, adding, "She was in full attack mode."
Bryant was "literally aiming a knife at this young lady," he said of the girl wearing pink. "She needed to be stopped at that point. That young lady's life was at stake."

Talk about ONE SIDED reporting.

Damn. I read that entire thing.
It's not just, 1 sided. It's written like a little walnut.
A nugget of truth surrounded by impenetrable shell of bs.
