That is exactly why we have a system of justice. Without it who would determine if it was in fact self-defense or not, or guilt or innocence?

So you will end someone's life either way, dead or $ ruined instead of leaving it up to the P A on weather to charge a person which is part of the System of justice.

Looks like obums sons are in Spokane now :-/

I think we're saying the same thing. The story does not fit their racial agenda, which is that America sucks because the white man oppresses and perpetrates violence upon the black man. It does fit their agenda to keep silent about it though. When a story of black people killing white people or black people killing black people surfaces, it gets no mention because the race baiters get no political or monetary benefit from it. This story only made the major news because the victim is Australian.

I do agree that this President is by far the most openly racist in modern history, including both LBJ and Wilson.

BTW - If Zimmerman is a 'white-Hispanic', does that make Obama a 'white-African-American'? Also, how can Barack be 'down with the struggle' when he does not descent from slave ancestors?

Very good for pointing out his ancestry. I have tried to point out to black Americans that Obummer isn't one of them, but a lot of people, no matter the color, seem to want him around to keep those good ol' Government checks coming in.

The reason the killing of Trayvon Martin became a national scandal was that even though an unarmed young man was shot to death, the local authorities decided not to treat it as a crime. That was why it was a major news story. It was not the fact that a person of one particular race killed a person of another particular race; it was how the police and the justice system decided to handle that killing after it happened.

It wasn't a crime, it was self defense. That's why there was no arrest. Once racist Steadman and The O forced the police that did the right thing originally to try an illegal trial to chase what should be a Bernard Goetz type hero out of town it became racial.

Since it's OK for everyone to identify with what racist white people have(or haven't) done to them(right Oprah?), I would like to finally know what the black community is going to do to keep their racist teens from murdering my family? Or is that question only OK when a crying black person is asking it after their criminal son got exactly what he asked for?

The police handled it perfectly the first time. Then racism screwed it all up. Or do you somehow see it differently?

That is totally wrong. You are saying that if a person breaks into your home in the middle of the night and you shoot him, no matter how cut and dry, you are to spend months in jail deciding if it was legal or not? Wow. I can't imagine a legal system where 75% of the population is always in the middle of a trial to determine if what he did were legal or not. If that were the case, 50% of the population would be lawyers.

See how insane that sounds when you apply it to all of America and not just the Trayvon case?

The police also handled it perfectly in this instance as well. Here's what happened in Oklahoma: a young man was shot to death. The police investigated it as a crime, arrested suspects, and charged them with murder. In Zimmerman's case, he was held and questioned for five hours then released. However, six weeks later, due to contradictory media coverage and misleading reporting, Zimmerman was charged with murder by a special prosecutor appointed by Governor Rick Scott. One was a case of self-defense, the other was not.

That is correct. Now, where are the race baiters? Isn't that the only difference between Trayvon and this? The entire world decided to chime in on Zimmerman, why aren't they doing the same here? That is why we have a double standard. The same reason that so many people are marching on DC today, to tell us how racist we are, even though we live in the country that has surpassed all others in race relations 10-fold. We live n the most equal country on Earth, yet we can't go anywhere without hearing how racist we are. I have a serious problem with that and anyone that doesn't must be playing for the other team.

At RNC event, speaker says African Americans have taken a back seat to gays, immigrants

The Republican National Committee commemorated the 50th anniversary of the March of Washington and Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech with a luncheon Monday.

The most rousing speech of the luncheon came from Bob Woodson, the head of the Center for Neighborhood Enterprises. Woodson criticized black leaders over Trayvon Martin, the black Florida teen who was shot to death by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was acquitted in Martin's death. Woodson, who is black, said groups including gays and immigrants have been prioritized over poor black people in American society.

"Everybody has come in front of them on the bus — gays, immigrants, women, environmentalists," Woodson said. "You never hear any talk about the conditions confronting poor blacks and poor people in general."

Woodson also criticized the "moral traitors" who mourned the death of Martin but not Chris Lane, the Australian baseball player who prosecutors allege was shot to death in Oklahoma by three boys, two whom are black.

Conservatives have strongly criticized black leaders like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for treating the cases of Martin and Hale differently.

Woodson said King would mourn for both equally.

"If Dr. King were alive today, he would not be just talking about justice for Trayvon Martin," Woodson said. "He would also give a prayer for this 18-year-old man, this little baby, who was shot in the face by two black kids.

"We should pray for the families of these people just as we do the family of Trayvon Martin. We should not wait for a white face before we get outraged. Evil is evil, whether it wears a white face or not."

Recognizing that strong reaction to his words, Woodson didn't back down.

"I'm sorry to be the skunk at the garden party, but I think if Dr. King were alive today, he would step on some of these sacred issues," Woodson said.

At the end of his remarks, Woodson was greeted with a standing ovation.

Other speakers at the event include King's niece, Alveda King, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.).
