"Thomas said he's concerned that a permitted gun carrier could "become an active shooter" if a situation upset him. Additionally, Thomas fears that police would have a hard time distinguishing between an active shooter and gun-carrying resident in an emergency situation."

So... you never leave campus, Chief? You never go to a hardware store, a restaurant, or movie?
Good damn thing because you'd probably sh*t your pants of you knew how many CCers were around you all the time.

And, believe it or not, Chief Thomas, some of very same people toting guns all over Pine Bluff are college students. The very same ones who DON'T commit crimes out in town but, according to you, could turn into murderers over any petty disagreement. I certainly hope you've addressed your concerns with the town cops and local Sheriff... I'm sure they'd lend a sympathetic ear to your fears and the fact that you would find it "challenging" to tell an active shooter from a legal carrier.
Here's yer law enforcement tip for the day, Chief: arrest the one who's randomly shooting at people, including you.

Chicken-sh*t dunce.
