Aren't you just a little ray of sunshine! Bless your heart.... (meant in the most Southern way possible) 🤣

Is that true of all, or do some companies not build in backdoor combo's? It just seems like that would be a massive security breech very heavily exploited, but you don't hear about it much.

A bit off topic, but just curious since that market is pretty far outside of my wheelhouse.
It's true of all companies because they don't want to hafta drill open a safe due to a lost combo--

Of course not all safe manufacturers will disclose the combo but I believe that they keep a record of it

That is easy to overcome by either changing the combo on your new safe or getting rid of the serial number

Liberty should have never kept the codes without informing customers at the time of purchase or delivery that they were storing codes in a data base and have the customer sign off that they are agreeing to that. These codes where stored in a computer that is not secure with our names, address and safe codes stored in them to be hacked at anytime by anyone. We need to go after Liberty, the selling dealers and installer because they all knew this was the practice of Liberty and in most case never informed the customer these codes were being stored in a data base and maybe even programing these codes in at time of sale or delivery. They have stored our personnel and private information, compromised our security and trust. They deserve to go down with a big class action lawsuit to show all the other companies this kind of behavior is unacceptable.
