id say we atleast gained a little bit of ground? maybe? hopefully? The best part about today's Oregon Supreme Court ruling???
The phrase "assault weapon(s)" cannot be used in ballot titles... If I understood Dominic correctly... That sets the stage for the future, they'll need to be specific as to what they're after. No more ambiguity... I'm amazed this came from the Oregon Supreme Court, never expected this deep blue state to play by the rules...
It's turning into the perfect storm for Civil Rights and the Constitution... woe, woe, pitiful progressives...Wow, late to the game on this thread! But amazing and great news - some of the best news regarding gun rights in Oregon I've heard in years!
I agree the fight is not over, not even close. They are going to take this loss and get really pizzed off at us and work even harder to shut us down. This November will be more important than ever - we must not allow the anti's to retain a majority in Salem. If you typically vote Democrat, please, please consider, even this once, using your vote to restore some balance and send a message to the Democrat leadership in Salem that you will not support them when they push for gun control. Please do consider this. The rest of you - get out there and vote - and get everyone else you know to vote. No more sitting back saying "it's not my perfect candidate" BS. Vote and make a difference.
Now, on to the folks that helped make these two victories happen. Many thanks to:
1. The Oregon Outdoor Council @daiello91 You kept us informed and you fought a great fight. You have my support and that of many others who maybe just learned who you were in the last few months.
2. OFF - I've had some tough words for them in the past, but they stepped up to fight this time and I am very appreciative. They will continue to get my support.
3. The NRA - long absent from any real fight in Oregon, they showed up this time, and I also am very much appreciative that they did.
4. Everyone else that filed complaints, etc. to help grow the numbers of opposition and to help spread the word about IP43 and IP44. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to preserving our rights!!
Now, let's just hope we get a solid pro-2A justice on the bench - we need it, badly. Still, it's been kind of fun watching the meltdown on Twitter today after the announcement. There are a lot of very pizzed off people out there right now. I've not seen them this mad since Trump got elected. And thankfully, it is Trump making this 2nd nomination and not Hillary. They had better hope Ginsberg can survive another 6 years, or Trump will get #3.
Does anyone know if any of the organizations that have went to bat for us including the NRA, OFF and others have publicly endorsed The Knute Man for governor?

Just to be clear, there is no way around 10 day appeal period? The Supreme Court sent it back to the AG to correct the misleading caption (Assault Weapon language).
Even if they did that today, we have 10 days to appeal (which has to pass before it can move forward).
We win, game over (for now). Formal post from OOC coming...

Well again, great job. You guys did well. There is nothing they can do. The game clock runs past the deadline day.
I really want to know how the church would retain its tax exempt status when the pastor is leading such a political endeavor...THEY WILL BE BACK!!

Perhaps it's time to shift to the IRS and place some pressure in them...
