Well the $hitcago one that just happened .
They went straight to riot in the streets.
So the police release the video with in hours.
And guess what you can clearly see the the guy trying to draw his gun on the cops .r right before they filled him with lead

Not having seen the crime scene, I can only surmise the officer let the perp get too close.
21' is too close, if your pistol is in its holster, A knife wielder, rock carrier, bat swinger, in that distance can connect with you before the average person can unlimber your holstered weapon.
So I'm guessing he allowed him to get even closer in order for him to bash the officer with a rock before he could fire his already drawn weapon. In this sort of situation "He who hesitates is lost"
Unknown (by me) author! Even a bullet in the leg may have ended this without a fatality.
I'm sorry for the officers survivors who no longer have a husband, father, brother, or friend.
The officer no longer feels the pain. RIP
Ex LEO,
Gabby

First, reading the article, the LE drew down on the BG when the was apparently way too close which allowed the BG to strike the LE with a rock!

Two, the LE began chasing the fleeing BG after a traffic accident.

Sorry, the loss of both lives was completely unnecessary as the testosterone bravado took over instead of common sense and appropriate police training. Similar to LE's engaging in hi-speed chases and innocents die due to poor driving and associated risks.

Emanuel Lopez or Emanuel Mohammed Lopez?

Line if duty deaths are down, shootings by police are down, but the MSM would have you believe that police are gunning down civilians for fun and the bad guys are killing cops left and right. Its a statistical anomaly either way.

It always comes down to this, "Main stream Media"! People are so glued to watching and listening to the emotional drivel from news sources. IT"S NOT NEWS,PEOPLE! I'm talking about FOX and all the right leaning sources too. They are every bit as bad as the left leaning sources.

My heart goes out to the officer....

Interestingly (and despite the rhetoric) being a police officer is safer then ever, fatalities peaked in 1930...

Officer Deaths by Year

Stat's can be made to say anything anyone wants to make them say. I don't have any kind of "training" in how to read them or stack them. What i do have though is personal experience to go by. When I was young it was so rare to hear of anyone shooting at a Cop that it made news. Made news because it was seldom done. You also did not have the media and the left (one in the same) daily trying to tell everyone all Cops are evil. Now almost every Cop has it hammered into them that if they fire their gun their life and career may well be over. There was of course a few "bad Cops" who needed to have this happen. Problem is now the left and even many who claim to be "conservative" are on this same bandwagon. Good luck trying to get good people to become Cops when they are treated like this.

So the question comes up, if the people are not responsible for these action in our communities who is?
Its clear the law passing are not solving the issues and voter turn effects this in many ways.

@Kruejl I think you are looking at my statement as a personal one to everyone and thats not the case.
The point I am trying to make is when we have 57% Republican turn outs in cities counties and states we allow these things to happen. I am not responsible either, gees I bust my arse trying to save our rights but as a community we fail and thats what I should have said. These officers are put in to these positions because they are smothered by red take and PC attitudes. It sucks to see out city officers being put on open season, I recall this last year more Leo's died in this country the first 3 months on 2017 then did the whole year in 2016.
We have to as a " community bare some responsibility for allowing these laws to pass.
Another case to look at is, Rallies and such the turn outs are low and nothing to write home about, by us not showing we wont take it anymore people are passing laws opposing their very fabric thats keeps the keep.
Police are just a small paper thin buffer between peace and Chaos. We need them much more then ever as the lines of peace wear thin, there may come a time we will be on the line such as they are now. If we look at chaos around the world a sign of trouble to come is when the police force fails to protect themselves, and end up powerless you then end up with no accountability and the cities will destabilize. Portland and Seattle are great examples of where the police as basically Security Guards as they are useless in stabilizing the city. Tacoma WA, in ten years has watched crime triple. It may not be the fault of every one, but everyone needs each other to move forward.
Chicago, is where Tacoma, Seattle and Portland are moving towards and every city is vulnerable.
Something needs to change, whose fault at this point hardly matters.

EDIT: Have also decided to no longer call the left Liberals as they are far from that mind set. Leftist Socialist Pigs, fits.

I know Kruejl personally I think you guys are closer than you think DuneHopper. Sometimes it is hard to see body language when sitting behind a key board. I know that Kruejl would do anything to defend and help others and does his part to make things better as we all do.

I also know what you are saying, BUT living in the PNW Seattle, Portland, California! We may be hosed because no matter how much we fight there are more of them to keep electing the POS politicians that keep this sort of thing alive. I feel for every LEO and the job that they have to do. We do need to stand together more than ever and do everything we can to change the tide.

Side note, I am short on coffee this morning so I hope that came out the way I intended it to. :D

Its true, 100% it hard at times to say things when typing and get the wording right.
I do see it at times on the forum where what you said or meant is not what was read LOL.
Not wanting to offend anyone in fact I know many here would have my six not question that or even close.
Same day I was talking with another member and ended up twisting a thread outta place.
This whole thing is frustrating watching police simply doing their jobs and wearing a uniform is a case for being killed. Many say things are not bad they always were this bad, I disagree we no longer respect police, nor each other mainly thats the left pushing this hate and distrust. Seems every day lately hear of a LEO being killed.

Well this goes both ways. In recent years we have seen jumpy cops too eager to shoot, and cops too hesitant to shoot.

I think lots more training would help, but it won't cure the Ahole LEOs that basically just want a license to kill, *cough HRT *cough
Not sure, legally what can be done about them.

Title of the thread not only applies to LEOs, but to citizens with a CCW or those who live in an Open Carry state (and opt to Open Carry). Be prepared for the worst, hope for the best, and rely on your training (often times not nearly enough, especially for the LEOs).

Prayers go out for the fallen Officer, his family, and fellow Officers.

This ^^^

Lack of respect for the police. I get it, some cops are bad, check. And there's ways to work through the system when such examples are encountered. However, what we've seen over the last several years is a demonization and outright hatred for police. And I'll stand up and say we have no one to thank for that more than the former imposter in chief.

But this is part of the overall agenda, those at the other end of the political spectrum want illegal immigrants to over run our country and they are the ones who are embracing lawlessness. Look at their calls to disband ICE.

The democrats are off the hook, sorry but it's a fact, when they hold up self proclaimed socialists as their party's future, what other conclusion can one make...

People better pay attention and get the vote out in November... in the meantime, expect more of the same rhetoric. It's going to be a long, hot summer...

That's terrible news.
If there's any consolation, it is my belief that mr. neckbeard will be made as miserable as possible by those that will literally hold his fate in their hands for the rest of his life.
