A cylinder fed shotgun that was actually produced. A couple come to mind that have such a mechanism:

Neither, as far as I know, ever saw the light of day. Something with a 6—12 round cylinder that automatically rotated without having to be wound up (à la the Streetsweeper) could make for a very short, handy, scattergun with decent to great capacity. Alas, so much vapor, it would seem.

Something like this in .357 Mag or .44 Mag would be pretty cool. Say, a 15-20rd removable cylinder.
