VCI bags work for 2-3 years and are great. I Teflon spray coat my guns, throw them in the bags and replace as needed. Those rods just heat the air. VCI provides an inert vapor barrier and are used in pipelines to dry them out after a hydrotest.

I'd say whatever you do, get an extra rider on your insurance policy and take pictures of all the guns and store the serial numbers in several locations (computerized and hard copy.)

Stack-ons are OK I guess, but I prefer a fireproof filesafe myself for my guns. I'd like to hear more about those modular safes though
