Washougal police responded at 6:31 a.m. to reports of a robbery at Limitless America, 501 26th St. Officers arrived to find a Kia Soul had crashed through the front doors of the store and was stuck inside. No one was at the business at the time, according to a probable cause affidavit. Several witnesses told police they saw two men in dark clothing run from the store. Store surveillance video showed the Kia initially stopped near the entrance of the building before the driver accelerated. The affidavit states the crash caused more than $500,000 in damage.

Another case of dumb thieves that didn't really have a plan... I was half expecting the car to be registered to one of the thieves as well.

If they were going to carry backpacks and ditch them for recovery later, one would think it'd be wise to have one filled with two pairs of different shoes and a change of clothes in starkly different colors/styles than what they broke in with... But again, that would have required planning past the breaking in part

One of them, carlos, was out on bail for a previous drive by shooting and possession of a stolen firearm. The other guy... kinter... is already back out on the streets.

Why the heck should they be worried about consequences? Getting arrested seems to be nothing more than a minor nuisance. Being homeless they probably appreciate the hot shower and 3 squares a day during their sleepover. "Go Washington State!" :s0140:

I'm surprised the article didn't call them "Stanley" and "Ron" to whitewash em.

Where did either of these lowlifes get the money for bail?

These miscreants should be prosecuted at the federal level.
Guaranteed jail time at Club Fed, with no plea bargaining, and if they choose to prosecute on more than one gun, it is five years per gun.
But then, the local officials usually don't have the nads to turn things over to the Feds..
☹️☹️

Makes one wonder why they keep passing all these laws when they are only selectively enforcing them.

Dare I say it almost seems planned. ;)

If only the demwits in Olympia had passed a bill against stealing KIAs?Perhaps we need another law against driving a car through the front door of a business? No matter, HB2118 will make it so this never happens again. :(

They were supposed to wait ten business days after the break-in before taking possession of those pistols!
