Don't dismiss Sasquatch's 'grim assessment' of things as tin-foil hat territory. Government IS about control, it always has been throughout history, and that's something people still need to worry about because the base motives of people who lead/govern/rule others never changes.

As an aside, it says something to me when we have to look all the way back to the Work Projects Administration and the Space Race to point to some good that the government has done. Hubble is 20 years old and thanks to Obummer there is now nothing in the works to replace the all-but-decommissioned space shuttle fleet.

There are people who want to create a one world, socialist type government. One species, one people, one government with no wars, nationalistic or racial competition, and happiness and joy for all. No question.

The question yet to be answered in my mind is if there are a significant number in the upper echelons of power in our nation among them. Many think that the Clinton's, Bushes, and Obama have all been at the center of the movement. They may be right, but i'm unconvinced one way or the other.

Regardless, if it were me, my plan would be simple. I would continue to institute changes towards my goals until i baited a couple of Timothy McVeigh types to go high & right. It took one incident in 1999 to completely change the public's attitude about constitutionalist militia's and other subversives. A couple more incidents and the sheeple would become polarized, outraged, and welcoming of the next step in the plan: gun confiscation.

If i was unsuccessful in baiting enough outrage, I would make it happen. It would not be difficult in the least.

So now, turning the chess board around once more, how best to combat such a plan?

I think you're definitely on the right track. Look at what was going on in the country at the time of OK City. Perfect timing to re-establish Clinton's flagging credibility, and trash the burgeoning states rights and patriot movements. There is quite a bit of speculation that McVeigh was operating directly on their behalf. Lots of funny business with security camera films. Lots of unexpected "suicides" by first responders and witnesses. There is also plenty of evidence that this same establishment attacks itsef to generate sympathy for itself and animosity towards whoever questions them. I won't be surprised to see something on the order of OK City to be blamed on "domestic terror groups" over the next couple of months. As far as I can tell, it's worked for them many times in the past. Blow something up to get all the good citizens to rally behind you and drown out any dissenting or questioning voices as un-american.

I'm convinced they are all in on it. There is too much that ties them all together. The ones that aren't ideologically motivated have been bought off, threatened, or blackmailed. If you own the printing press that makes the money - all things are possible.

If the goal was one world, one people, happily ever after - why is this all being done in such stealth? If it was such a great deal for humanity - wouldn't they be shouting it from the rooftops?

Apologies for hi-jacking the thread - I'll try not to do this in future. I just get wound up over all this stuff. As for running for the hills, I don't think it's a very good idea unless you have no other choice. It will be getting pretty crowded out there if things get bad. I've talked to more than a few people of limited resources who are sure they can pack a fishing rod, a sleeping roll, and a sack of oreo's and somehow miraculously figure out how to survive in the wild at short notice.

I would recommend preparing to settle in where you are, or even better, arranging a good place to hole up somewhere out of the way for the duration of whatever crisis chases you out of your primary residence. A well stocked hunting cabin would be perfect.

I hate to break this to you, but all this "Homeland Security" crap has been built just for you. Not little brown people from some faraway land. You. Did you catch the homeland security hearings in congress the other day? Have you read the foul reports coming from the fed and SPLC to law enforcement that label vets, gun-owners and freedom loving americans as the greatest threat to national security?

If you don't see the boot coming down on your face - you are not paying attention. The (pick a word for traitorous criminals running the world) are doing their level best to pit "civilians" (used to be "citizens") against law enforcement. They are working full time to get a race war started. They are pushing us for a violent reaction to all their looting and pillaging of the wealth of the nation. Eagerly looking for the excuse to clamp down martial law and start the purges that will feed 85% of us to the meat grinder they have constructed with our tax money.

All I can think to do is wake people up enough to at least start asking some questions. I can only hope that an awake and questioning populace will put the kibosh on this slide into the abyss we seem to be locked into.

Can you seriously believe that gov, with all its resources, has been caught by surprise by the collapse of the economy? Can you believe that they are just stupid enough to do exactly the right things to make everything infinitely worse? Where are all our factories? (China - by design). Where did all your TARP money go? (Foriegn banks - WTF?!?!) Why won't the fed secure our borders and get a handle on immigration? (Cloward-Piven strategy - load the welfare system down until it breaks the economy - among other things). The people running this country HATE America, and are in the process of gutting this country.

Subversive - what does that mean? I define it as activity or groups working to subvert the constitution of our nation. Who fits the bill for that definition? Vets/Gun Owners/Patriots? Too ridiculous to believe - but that is their story. How about CFR/Trilateral commission/Bilderberg/UN? You can read their own documents and see that their stated goals are anathema to our way of life. They are not just planning and talking - they are actively tearing this country down to establish their "brave new world". You see the evidence all around you. These are absolutely ruthless, evil people you are dealing with. You are under attack through your food, water, and medical system. Your economy has been trashed, and you are being labeled and prosecuted as criminals at an increasing rate.

Governments are only really good at two things - stealing and killing people.

Man, I could go on and on and on. All I ask is that you look at the stories they feed you and at least ask some questions. The world is definitely not as it has been presented to you. I know it is more comfortable to relax and go along with the great lie, but all that is waiting for you at the end of that road is the destruction of all you hold dear, and an early hole in the ground for you and your families. If you won't wake up today and start asking questions about what is obvious all around you - what will it take?

I agree but the problem there is figuring out a way to keep your well stocked hunting cabin from having squatters there when you arrive.

I have installed a "brother from another mother" who is out of work in mine. He takes care of the place, keeping it all safe and secure until we are ready to bug out. Most of us have someone we trust who could use a little help in life.
