A Hawaiian Catastrophic Eruption? Could all of this volcanic activity just be a prelude to the ultimate Hawaiian Volcanic Eruption? We all know about the new sea-mount SE underwater Loihi volcano.
Could now be the time? A historical event? An epochal event in our time? All pressure and magma and such being completely transfered to the new Loihi underwater volcano? All in one big bang? Oh boy!
The entire big island of Hawaii sub-ducting over ONE MILE in only 30 seconds? What would THAT DO? No magma holding it up. The pipe has been changed. Eventually a new Hawaiian island. What would result?
All the magma pressure being released into the new volcano and denied to the big island Hawaiian volcanoes? A series of Pacific Rim Mega Tsunamis? A three hundred foot SERIES of mega tsunamis hitting the West Coast?
Or ... one big bang of the ultimate pressure transfer and the Big Island sub-ducts over TWO MILES in just one minute? No magma pressure holding it up. It all gets transfered to the new Loihi volcano. Yikes and Wow!
They say this will happen slowly over many years. What if it happens just in a few minutes? What would be the death toll? Hundreds of millions over the entire Pacific Rim. All at once. All in just one week. Oh boy!
Some of the cliff face of the Big Island remain very non stable. What kind of ordinary mundane volcanic earthquake would it take to land slide the various non stable coast sides? That alone would be enough.
