This is really excellent news since Cargill is mostly challenging the procedural and chevron deference authority. If SCOTUS slams Cargill it will open the doors with case law to shut down, in long term, the alphabets future rule making... and in shorter term... have great impact on the other nonsense of late. IOW, frames & receivers, pistol braces, private party FFL requirements, et al.

Depending on the outcome of course, but them willing to hear the case is highly encouraging!

If Cargill wins we all owe him a beer!

Basically it would wipe out ATF's ability to make administrative rules. If it wasn't passed specifically by Congress, they can't just make up the "laws" anymore. This would be absolutely huge for existing ATF rules as well as pretty much shutting them down for anti gun "laws"/rules in the future such as the ones Biden has been pushing. Could be really, really, huge decision in our favor in the long term.

Basically any enforcement or rules atf tries to do would be subject to the challenge "was this specifically passed by congress?" rather than the crazy situation we have now where they can put you in jail for up to 10 years based on thier subjective opinion (which is nuts!). Fe the brace rule had what other people are doing on YouTube and manufacturers marketing (things you have zero control over) as factors as to whether you personally go to jail or not. Bonkers!
