...so is giving the information away. As much as I can respect them as a whole, there are too many people in the law enforcement community that disregard things like this.

Those who wish to quell our rights probably want to set up some mapping system like sex offender databases so people can find out who in their neighborhood owns firearms. It will make it easier for them to make false claims against us or find other ways to try and run us out of the neighborhood.
