I have a friend who hikes a popular trail system here close to home. There are Cougar sightings now and then and he has seen a Cougar twice. He has a Sig P5 and refuses to carry it because Cougars are afraid of people. These Cougars are accustomed to seeing people and only God knows what one might do, God and my friend.
I guess it's better to go after the cougars in a college town as opposed to the fresh meat.

Ok so maybe this is "new" for around your area. (General statement for everyone reading this). However, I have lived and shopped in the worst places of Chicago when I was there.

We were taught back in the early 80's in school (yes you read it correctly) what to do and look for when we were in public. People were ambushing and robbing people shopping, going to atm, banks and kidnappings etc.

1) NEVER walk directly to your vehicle.

2) Use the reflections in windows and off surfaces to see if you are followed.

3) Carry your keys in your hand to eliminate time getting into your car

4) walk around your car first and check underneath

5) lock doors immediately when you get in

6) don't park around a bunch of other cars

7) carry a bright flashlight

8) never yell help… use FIRE

There's other things that apply nowadays such as not in your phone etc…

It's been multiple attackers for more than FORTY YEARS!!!

Why it's extra mags. This $h!+ is not new!
