One of my 'mysterious projects ' was RV
'housebus' conversion of 1939 Flxible 25 passenger over the road Greyhound bus. One of the old Boise~Winnemucca Stages fleet.

Lots of tales to tell about the thrills of converting pusher Buick straight 8 into 454/auto. At the time it was the oldest Flxible known still running.

First ride: '78 Datsun puke green pickup with a bench seat (with lateral metal bar clear across hitting you perfectly in the kidneys), white fiberglass canopy, and white steel spoke rims, and a white cue-ball on the shifter.... totaled it. (of course )

Current rides:

2007 Mercedes E350 sedan, blue/gray..... it's a VERY comfortable ride.... paid for.

2004 Chevy Suburban, leather, loaded options... paid for.

2006 Harley-Davidson Dynaglide Street Bob... paid for.

Absolutely no desire to "trade up"....

I don't have any desire to trade up or get something different than my Navigator. Yes it's old and gets really bad mileage but I worked hard for it and I love it!

I bought it about 7 years ago, I got it from a dealership that the original owner worked and special ordered it from.

He got just about every option you could think of on it, he babied it and was just about like brand new when i bought it. It only has just over 68,000 miles on it now.

I bet some awesome things went down in the bus!

Ah, not as awesome as you might imagine. Though I was the driver for a lot of friend gatherings since I could carry 8 people at a time. There was this one time, in the snow, where I had 2 friends in the back, door locked open and they were pelting some folks with snowballs as we drove by. One friend wasn't holding on when I pulled away from the most recent victims, and he went flying out of the van - thought I was dead on that one for sure. Luckily he didn't blab. As to the ladies, well, first serious GF wasn't until the 2nd car...

First car was a 67 Mustang Coupe 289 4 speed.

Current rides are 97 F 250 CC 4x4, 94 Mustang GT, 2002 Explorer, 71 Ford F 100 - (bought brand new by my dad. )

Do I need 4 vehicles for two of us ?? Why yes I do. Each has its own purpose and and as long as I can afford them for insurance and gas, it is one of my small pleasures.
