Same question, how much more useful is the 6.5mm Creedmoor than the 7mm 08?

From my post above, the 140 grain 6.5 mm bullet has a bc of .509, while the 7mm bullet is .485.

The Creed mv is 2731, the -08 is 2953.

Can someone plug these numbers into a ballistic program and determine the distance at which the Creed overtakes the -08?

6.5 used a 140 eld-m
7-08 used 139 SST

The difference becomes evident with a 12mph cross wind... the wind starts at 388yards as plugged into the app.

So really at about 300y, they start to wander.


I should note, I also used a G1 not G7 drag model.
