I agree. The wife has the Utah permit, midway through her second 5 years and they have always been what you'd consider "Normal". Her last re-up she had some issues with the photo we took. They were really friendly and helpful. I can't see it taking 3 months. Just call them. They actually are likely to answer the phone! The 2nd Amendment means something in Utah. Unlike the West Coast states.I doubt it will take 3 months. Utah has been pretty quick. I would think more in weeks than months.
I did the class and submitted my packet in the first week of March. Haven't heard anything since. The instructor said it would be 3 months or so. So I dunno.I doubt it will take 3 months. Utah has been pretty quick. I would think more in weeks than months.
In Deschutes county my wait time was about 2 weeks for the initial license and about 4 days for renewals. Utah took less than a month about 2 years ago. May have fewer resources to process requests now that Utah is now a constitutional carry state.Marion county. My packet for Utah was sent last month and I was told it takes 3 months to hear back from them. How long will it take for Oregon to process? My appointment is Monday.
Is that just new? And means no need for a concealed carry permit for residents of the state?May have fewer resources to process requests now that Utah is now a constitutional carry state.
Utah passed constitutional carry in 2021 I think. The specifics vary slightly by state, but generally means that you don't need a permit. They still process permits for Utah citizens traveling to other states. Is that just new? And means no need for a concealed carry permit for residents of the state?
Excellent! Utah is my home state, so still have feelings for it. ESPECIALLY with what our Northwest states are turning into.Utah passed constitutional carry in 2021 I think. Generally that's what I've read on this topic. You have to be a resident of the state. If you are not a Utah resident do you still need a permit?
If I get any saltier, you could rub the dandruff off my head to season your French friesRead up on ORS 166 and if you aren't already, turn into the most agreeable SOB out there while carrying. Stay salty.

I've seen pages with varying descriptions, but the language doesn't specify residents only - just anyone over 21 that can legally possess a pistol. Check out https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/ut-gun-laws/ . The Utah permit is on of the best to have for reciprocity, so no reason to not get one.Generally that's what I've read on this topic. You have to be a resident of the state.
It's shocking how much calmer and more agreeable I have been since I started carrying. Someone driving like an bubblegum? Oh well, I'll just back off a little more.Read up on ORS 166 and if you aren't already, turn into the most agreeable SOB out there while carrying. Stay salty.
I just renewed my Oregon CCL in Washington County and I live in Pacific County Washington. Took an appointment and 30 minutes. Quick and easy. Utah is slower.Marion county. They want an updated photo.I agree. The wife has the Utah permit, midway through her second 5 years and they have always been what you'd consider "Normal". Utah does? If so, that must of been because of the progressive garbage creeping into Utah from both sides. West coast and Colorado. It's a mental disease infecting formerly "normal" states. A video on not commiting suicide! Figures. With their new renewal process, you have to watch a suicide prevention video and if you watch on your smart phone,
