Watching some good westerns this morning, Valdez is comming and Conagher. Love the old guns and gear they had in those movies. Got any favorites?

Not so old but the all time favorites would be Unforgiven and Tombstone.

    Modern westerns
    Blazing Saddles

    Unforgiven
    Silverado
    Open Range
    Appaloosa

    Going somewhat older
    McLintock!
    Rio Bravo
    El Dorado
    Hondo
    High Noon
3:10 to Yuma ( older one)
    The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
    A Fistful of Dollars
    For a Few Dollars More
    The Magnificent Seven

Not including Jimmy Stewart (The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance) or Randolph Scott, Robert Mitchem.

The CAS notes that most of the movie cowboy movies are not historically accurate.
Example - most all of them the cowboys have belt loops. Which were not invented until about 1915.
Not to mention how quickly they seem to reload when the shot changes.

My all time favorite "Angel & the Badman" John Wayne in Black & White... Don't offer me a colorized version, I won't watch it.
