The 2nd amendment means different things to different people it seems. Ive heard of the Fudd style but I really dont experience it much.
People in the middle don't have conversations about gun control. It isn't interesting or able to be resolved.

So, If I am a Libertarian should I be allowed to buy a gun and or train with it? <--------- Question for Longwalk

If I am a Democrat, should I be allowed to buy a gun and or train with it? <---------- Also for Longwalk

Of course. I don't want to sell my guns to a convict so I am all for the state checking out buyers. I don't believe it infringes if it's an instant check and it's worth $10 to have peace of mind I didn't sell to a criminal.
I've thought about it many times.....

Hummmmm...........
Renting or selling a property.
Loaning money and/or extending credit.
Selling my car. Etc......

Aloha, Mark

PS.....LOL. Probably not worth it to do a background check (and BTW it's not usually $10) on a couple wanting a wedding cake. BUT, But, but......when we had FREEDOM.......we could get away with a lot more.

Someone please denounce this socialist!

I'm sure other people with more devious agendas look for the support of people who just want to school shootings to stop, but that doesn't mean that the majority of those anti-AW folks have any complex rationale for their revulsion.
Can we at least agree that the term AW (I assume you are using as an abbreviation for assault weapon) is a misnomer when applied to ARs, AK-style rifles, and other semi-automatic firearms? Assault rifles are select fire weapons. Unfortunately, the term has been misused by ignorant legislators and an equally ignorant popular press to stigmatize and in some cases attempt to prohibit all self loading firearms.

It would be nice if at least on this forum, which supposedly consists of people who know better, we could dispense with such false terminology. It might help to elevate the discussion if we agreed upon technically correct labels, rather than adopting the terms used by the anti-gun lobby.

I'm still calling suppressors "silencers" regardless of correct terminology. That's what my form 4s say on em, so that's what they are to me

Absolutely, it's America and the rights are God given. I just wouldn't train either.

They stand to loose nothing while WE stand to lose a lot - and nothing to lose is a pretty powerful position to be in.
In the end, they stand to lose as much as gun owners. They just can't see the writing on the wall. "Liberty" is an abstract concept to them. Like "I'm not in jail. so I have liberty". They stand to lose any freedoms they take for granted. Ya don't miss something until it's gone, but they just can't understand that.
