I have no idea, but with him gasping for air and being in shock; I would not be surprised if the vest failed due its condition and that poor bastard collapsed a lung?

All the same, the worse thing I have ever seen... I did played with my military issued set, taking the groin piece to the range for small arms and the vest to show the need for inserts for the new troops (i.e. 7.62 and 5.56 blow through the vest like butter without the plates), but no one wore the vest to make a point...
