Well look at the bright side if they pass it then you will not have to worry about:
Magazine bans
Arm Braces bans
Bump stocks bans
And being able to buy or give your kids any such item as you will not be able to purchase any of them ever again and or pass on any magazines you currently have as well.

So, it will make the forums much more friendly as there will be many, many less guns to talk about.

No more hand guns with threaded barrels, ARs, AKs, or any other strange guns like CZ Scorpions or MP5s, just revolvers and 10 round max semi auto hand guns or bolt action, lever action and pump action rifles/shotguns…..For now?

I am so happy the government is looking out for us because it's for the children ya know!

So, if you haven't written your representatives by now telling them no and do it every week, and not wait to the last second, then it could very well happen.

Representative are STUPID, if you do not tell them what you want and keep reminding them, then they assume you do not care!

An e-mail is good, a call is even better because if you're willing to make call you really must feel its important.

With regard to income taxes, the federal government method of taxation precludes that. That is, withholding taxes as income is earned. In modern times, they didn't start doing that to to keep from getting stiffed. In started in 1943 because the government needed money more quickly.

As time goes by, the government is coming up with ever more ways to track money. Causing 1099-K's with a threshold of $600 is just one way. It's more and more difficult to shield money against taxation. The movement to a cashless society works against the gray economy in a big way. That's why you're seeing more and more food places with a tip tablet right out front.

Side bar: I do not agree that counter people should get a tip. After all, they aren't really serving. And, with the tip tablet at the counter, I really don't like tipping in advance.

As to property taxes, those are linked to real property so if you fail to pay, eventually you will lose the property. It may take several tax years, during which time the tax obligation has grown considerably making it even more difficult to redeem. In Wash. state, the interest rate on delinquent taxes is 12% per annum.

We hear about those people in China who are on a payment strike against their mortgages. They put money down on unbuilt apartments, now construction has stopped. But it seems like they might be in danger of losing what they put up as a down payment if they fail to keep up the payments.

Sadly the "lets stop paying taxes" crowd is the same as the "I will not comply" crowd. It makes a great bumper sticker but FEW will do it. Reason is simple. If only a few do this the law comes down on them and takes everything. So the rest toe the line. People have amazingly short memories of the two weeks lock down that almost EVERYONE just went along with. Those in power have to be often laughing behind closed doors at just how easy this is to do.
