So if the guy used a framing hammer we should ban all hammers exceeding a 12" length because no civilian needs that much leverage capacity.


And you need a special permit to obtain a standard hammer and yearly competency testing. Any thing longer than "12 is subject to $200 tax stamp and must be registered.
 
I agree that this won't hold up, but this stuff is bubbling so frequently over the past year that I'm really hoping we either get a Republican President (mostly for appointment purposes and gun control issues), or that this next election will be a break out for a constitutionalist group. Either way, we're scraping out wins, but we're 1 SCOTUS judge and some House seats away from a reversal of fortune.
