The Cali compliant rifles have a removable magazine detach/release device that would prohibit the operator from doing quick magazine changes. It's like the bullet buttons they have for ARs in comifornia. Here is a few links to Aimsurplus and Bud's guns.

Correct but they have to make far more modifications to CA compliant AK's than just a bullet button (if only it were that easy with an AK!). It's a pain in the a$$ - avoid entirely.
