My internal needle is starting to point to "Well, if this is as good as it gets, why NOT shoot the perp if I am gonna get fried anyway".
I am certain I am not the only one.

Sadly I'm afraid that it may come to that to end this lunacy. My internal needle is starting to point to "Well, if this is as good as it gets, why NOT shoot the perp if I am gonna get fried anyway".

The recipe to make citizens into subjects. The end game is to prohibit all firearm ownership.
This is done by :
Restrictions on:
Gun parts , magazines and ammo types...
Where one can buy the above...
Places where one can go shoot...
Fees , taxes and other charges placed on firearm and ammo sales, Concealed carry permits , and the like...
Limits on the amount of ammo or parts one can buy at a time..
So called safe storage laws....you know , those laws , where a stranger tells you what you must do inside of your house with your firearms....
Background checks on private sales....more "red tape" to wade through to own a firearm....
The pushing of certain views of firearms and firearm owners..
Any of the above can and will be used to deprive you of your ability to own firearms...
All without the need to ban any gun or even confiscate firearms...
And no one is taking away your guns with the above methods...So no need to worry bout the 2A at all.
( in the anti-gunners eyes )
Make it difficult enough to legally obtain and use firearms...and folks will quit doing so.
Or so goes my theory...
This is not to forget all the laws banning , restricting and limiting firearms already in place.
Nor is any of the above...any good at stopping criminals from getting or using firearms...
It is perfect , however for a gradual disarming and pushing a dislike of firearms on the law abiding public.
So the endgame...is total disarmament , one step at time , no matter how long it takes or what Rights it takes away.
Andy
Edit to add :
The above is not to be taken as a Andy have given up on guns or fighting to keep them...
Its just a pointing out of things that I learned and experienced with my love of firearms and firearm ownership.
This is brilliant - I could not agree moreCounterintuitive, especially for the minority who are 'naturally' (don't know how else to put it) comfortable with choice, is the fact that it's easy to be enslaved and difficult to be free. IMO that goes a long way to explain... lol, everything. Really, what's going on today re: .gov hand outs, ideology, etc.
From an old interview with a Soviet dissident:
Sharansky: Well, first of all, once I was out, I enjoyed continuing to live as a free person and those who think that it is easier to live as a free person in our world than in prison, they are wrong. In the free world, suddenly there are thousands of choices. You can waste all your life on making different choices and losing perspective. [In prison] the aim there — you had a vertical understanding of what is good and what is bad, and where your friends are. So it makes, in fact, your life very easy and very clear and with one strategy. In our daily life, we have thousands of possible strategies — to choose the one which gives you a lot of meaning in your life is not so simple. But I enjoy continuing the life of a free person.
It's a great interview. Worth reading.
Exactly. Disarming citizens is not the end game. It's a necessary step to the real end game thaat will be soon followed by others. See how easy it is to convince people to abolish the 1AThe recipe to make citizens into subjects.
Expansion of "Red Flag" considerations will soon include people who haven't been vaccinated, for whatever reason, since they are obviously a danger to themselves and others. That explains the insane rhetoric they've been using to sell the vaccine... laying groundwork for near-future enforcement.I read this morning that the DemonRats put $40million into the infrastructure bill for a Federal "Red Flag" program.
I agree. The powers that be are using Covid in a myriad of ways to establish new methods/trends/policies/suppression/votecheating/etc. We are living in a bad time!!!Expansion of "Red Flag" considerations will soon include people who haven't been vaccinated, for whatever reason, since they are obviously a danger to themselves and others. I'm quite sure that there are "unofficial" committees in every state and DC who's sole purpose is to come up with ways to weaponize Coronavirus against citizens.I agree. Socialism breeds dictators.Socialism didn't put people in camps. Dictators did. Dictatorship is not socialism.
Okay. Tell me who has socialism and a dictator these days?Socialism breeds dictators.
Power breeds dictators, whether the proclaimed ideology is socialist or fascist or a theocracy or democracy.Socialism breeds dictators.
PRC is a socialist economy and China has a dictatorship, although the power is somewhat shared, Xi Jinping is the dictator.Okay. Tell me who has socialism and a dictator these days?
George Washington walked away from it.Power breeds dictators, whether the proclaimed ideology is socialist or fascist or a theocracy or democracy.
But not many since have. Thomas Jefferson would be one that did. Adams signed and supported the Sedition act (prohibiting criticism of the government), and Jefferson dumped it when he was elected.George Washington walked away from it.
