It doesn't say what time of day the gang busted into her house, but there's not much detail in the story.
"She got a gun and fired, killing a 19-year-old."
That's pretty much the beginning and end of it.

This one happened April 6; the previous SD/home invasion killing in Detroit was barely more than a week before:

Never is too strong of a word in this case.

In my book it's ok to kill the wolves to protect the sheep.
