I was going to take my Kimber Classic SS to trade in on a p938 and after holding the 1911, working the slide, pulled the sweet sweet trigger a few times and changed my mind. Fantastic pistols with a great reputation. Mabey I'll get buried w mine. Have an urn that rattles.

Well of course it's (1911) the best pistol every invented and ever will be invented. Everyone knows that. Only way they could improve it would be to invent a time machine and bring John B back.

I have that same Bianchi holster for every size 1911 I own LOVE IT.

Depends what division I'm shooting.

While I'm a firm Glock only handgun owner, I have a great deal of respect for the 1911.
It's like someone arguing over great boobs or great buns. Just depends on what your into.

Personally I want both.

There's beauty in both.

Anyone who wishes to trash on either just has their head up their anus.

I've seen it many times and believe it myself, "The Glock is a hard gun to beat as a defensive handgun, but the 1911 is a fighting handgun."

I would say the glock is a more modular and universal gun.

The 1911 is a piece of American history.
It's the Shelby Cobra of handguns.
