9mm ar flash can

Greetings all, I have been looking and studying 9mm AR pistols, and was looking into flash cans, and see that 9mm is typically 1/2 x 36 thread, and there's no discussion of a crush washer involved in some of the articles I am reading... can someone educate me on this? Is it necessary? and can they be found for sale?

Yes, you need a crush washer or jam nut just like a regular AR. Most 9mm muzzle devices I've looked at come with what you need.

First not all 9mm barrels are 1/2x36 my Faxon 8.5 in bbl is 1/2x28 and a lot more are going that way from what I have seen.

I am using the KAK flash can and they have them in both thread options that fit the 9mm.

Also a crush washer is not required for the KAK unless you want the slot timed a certain direction then it is required to get it right,

Mine is 1/2x28 and it takes a can nicely. Sure is enjoyable.
