So I just converted my Savage 12 FV from a .223 to a 6.5 CM. I have a fairly new powder, Superformance, and a couple of new bullets, Berger 144 gr. LR Hybrid and Barnes 145 gr. Match Burner, so no published load data. Hey, why make my life easy ? Berger says they haven't updated their CM data yet, and suggested using data for a similar weight bullet. Hodgdon's lists loads with this powder for both the 143 & 147 ELD-M's, these basically fall right in the middle, so my thought is to average the data for those loads as my starting point. Anyone see a flaw in my reasoning? I'd start low and work up, of course. My goal is long distance eventually, although most shooting will like be no more than 500 yards. Obviously, if you have experience with this particular combo, I'm eager to hear from you. Thanks!

Dave
