Yes. I do feel bad for the guy as he will now be in a wheel chair for life. It just shows how making a really poor decision like that can end your life as you know it.

My thought process is only shoot to save a life never to take one.. So if I believe the robbers were about to shoot someone or in the process of shooting someone then light em up if safe to do so. Otherwise just let them go.
