Why does my AR "ring" after every shot?

I may try the flat spring thing on one of mine. The SPROING doesn't bother me, but l like to try new things. Plus, l can barely hear it over the obnoxious Miculek muzzle blast intensifier.

Indeed it will. Depending on the comp you will be trading the ring for more concussive blast and flash. It really is hard to beat the standard A2 for general purpose MD especially if price is major consideration. Throwing price out I'm pretty sold on the FOSSA I mentioned above.

They are no more than many other high end MDs like the Surefire Warcomp, if you really want to spend some money take a look at the PA EFAB and even more is the KAC MAMS. The B.E. Meyers 249F have gotten real stupid since they stopped making them.

It all depends on what you are going to use it for, doing solo runs at a competition is one thing, taking a carbine class with others right next to you is another thing, nor would I want it on anything intended for home defense.

Plenty of instructors forbid them at their classes, because they suck to be around and can cause damage to ones ears even with ear pro due to concussion.

Open tines are like tuning forks. There's only one company that I know of who makes open tine flash hider that doesn't ping and that's KAC, though there could be others that I'm unaware of.

That's the one l have too.
If l don't get a new one beforehand, I'll probably swap it for a takeoff A2 birdcage before the next range trip.

Yep, that's the one. It's supposed the be the 249F replacement (at least that's what the gal on the phone said) since JP bought the patent from BE. Wish they would've continued the original design but doesn't look like that will ever happen.
