Thanks Ura-Ki.
That C.Z. can shoot . The target in my pic , is 50 yards , off hand , iron sights.
Had a shoot at the club this weekend and found out that a 16oz Gatorade bottle isn't hard to hit at 150 yards either.
This was also done off hand and iron sights.

Nice looking rifle. That is some excellent shooting, sir! I'd like to see what you could do with a receiver sight on your C.Z.

Thanks Sgt.Nambu.
I am saving my pennies for a New England Custom Gun receiver sight.
These are pretty neat , no drilling or taping , just mounting on the scope dovetail.
The factory sights work well , but for older eyes its hard to beat a peep sight.

I always liked my 'Ol Sharps replica 45/90! Never gave it much thought for an all round rifle till you brought up the Beechers bible.
I still don't think I would use it for every day, but I see I could! Maybe My 100 year anniversary 1895 marlin lever action 45/70 would work better for daily use, but..................Alas, both are far to nice to use like that! It does bear serious thought though! Nice post

This is actually the US Navy 3" (76mm) Rifle that turned the tide against the NAZI tanks in w. Europe. The cartridge case is so long that it could not be fitted in standard Shermans until the turret was totally redesigned, I think it's still in service w/the Navy

Dad is an old Destroyer Man, says that gun is used on some frigs and motor gun boats. Personally he liked the big 5'' (127 mm) better, but says these are really accurate!

yes they are, they saved the D-Day landings when a Destroyer took-out a large bunker that dominated Utah (?) Beach.
These were latter mounted in the M-10 Hellcat and the M-4A1 Sherman

View attachment 227171 My trusty Remington 600 in .308!
The Rem 600/308 has always been a favorite of mine. One I'd never let go. I've taken deer out to 500+yards. Another favorite is my Ruger featherweight 06. I took a couple deer at near 800yds. I quit hunting game animals. But ask me if I want to go shoot some yotes. I've taken a few song dogs since I built my AR/5.56, under 100yds. I'm not really sold on the AR's. I like the beauties that are more woody

My AR pistol. Almost as good as an SBR, almost;)
30 round mags, small, light and accurate with the red dot on it

Yep, couldn't agree more. That and I can carry at least 10 mags on my rig and self comfortably. You guys do the math. :)
