If you have to walk away from the house today and could only take your one best rifle, what would it be and why?

My Kriss Vector. Share ammo with my 1911's, and it is just cool

Second would be the PS90 - share ammo with the Five-seveN.

Ignore the shotgun in the middle :)

Model 70 30-06, plenty of power and range plus you can find ammo for it most anywhere.

Until a couple weeks ago it would have been my Trapper .357 - now it's the Henry. Can't get over the versatility of the .38/.357 and the availability of ammo nearly everywhere - in some form anyway.

    Bullpup in 762x39

Compact, more easily concealed under a poncho or even a coat, effective, reliable, common ammo and parts.

When Desert Tech comes out with their MDR, I will probably get a number of those to upgrade to.

Probably take my Ruger 308 stainless. Had it modified with the barrel cut to just legal and it has the all weather stock which makes it light weight. 6x leupould makes it good to hunt with and there will always be 308 out there as long as there is a military.

Ditto but mines a 1894cs Marlin and I can always share ammo with the carry revolvers.

    JUST ONE RIFLE?! Just one?!

Maaan.. You know.. Id normally say an AK.. But.. Value wise.. Id probably go with my Socom 16

Its small enough to have fun with and pack up.
Its accurate enough to do all with.
Value wise I could always trade it for two cheap AKs. ;)
I now have a ton of mags for it.

Double ditto - kind of like my GP 100! Stuffed a couple hundred rounds last night - some for the rifle and some for the GP.

    My AKm47!

It is reliable, I trust it, common round (7.62x39), and I can run a drum mag and have 76 +1 rounds in the SOB :D

    Ruger 77 MKII in 30-06.

It's one of the last centerfire rifles I own because with this one, I don't need any other. 25yds to 400+ yds I can put a hole in whatever I'm aiming at. I have several hundred rounds already loaded up and in ammo cans. It's as reliable as any rifle can be.
(yes, I've owned bolt action rifles that aren't reliable...)
