Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Over the last 30 years or so since I've been actively studying firearms I've seen a lot of changes in firearms. Just wondering what everyone here thinks are some of the most important changes in firearms are? 30 years ago lasers were the size of Maglites and rails were for trains...
If you're asking what the important developments have been in the last 30 years, the only major development that pops into my mind would be the advance in polymer use in handguns. I suppose there has been some okay ammo developments, but mainly in bullet design. Most the calibers I play with were developed early to mid 20th century.
I think most of the significant developments in firearms took place before 1975 or so.
