So funny, yet not because some folks got killed in those wrecks.
I had a buddy who had a Pinto back in the late 70s... he got one of those big, red FLAMMABLE stickers and pasted it right across the trunk lid.
Gallows humor, as it were...

Oh I can appreciate it for sure. Those heaps were on the roads when I was a kid and I remember my dad talking about a guy he knew that got killed in one from a rear ender fireball. They were deathtraps marketed to relatively low income hard working blue collar people. The humor isn't lost on me, it's just subdued. :)

My neighbors love me at 7am. Bought used and held its value pretty well for the last 4+ years. Only coupe year w/ RWD, v8, supercharged. 2015 (mine) best year imo. Wish it was a manual but can't have everything. Crazy loud and tons of fun even as an auto.

Funny, I bought one new in 2008 right as the recession hit. Toyota was practically giving them away 4000 off here , 3000 off there. Drove out the door loaded at 23K . Sold it 4 years later more than I paid for it. If I sold it now it would sell for more than I paid for it.
They were a hot commodity for a long time. When they quit making them the prices got stupid, now almost 10 years later a low milage example is still as much or more than new.

I'm always curious to know what everyone drives.

I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited with an ARB Bull Bumper and a Warn M8000 winch. While I love owning it, I don't drive it enough, so it's up for sale.

Next is Jenny's car, a 2002 Hyundai Accent. One of the best decisions we've ever made was purchasing this car. Jenny has a 50 mile round trip commute and the 38MPG highway really takes some of the pain away from the pump. I know why these cars sell for $8k new, and it's not because they're bad cars. Working on them, you can see how they streamlined the assembly process to the point where everything fits together like lego's. Very smart, and good for me when I'm working on it.

(No photo, you guys know what these look like)

Third is my 1989 BMW 325i convertible. This is the fifth or sixth E30 BMW Jenny and I have owned, and they really are amazing little cars. I pulled the motor out of it to reseal all the gaskets last year and as of today, the engine is still apart. Hopefully it'll be done in time to enjoy the last bit of summer.

Fourth is this 1991 BMW 525i. I bought this from the second owner with 123,xxx miles on it. It sat for quite a while and no joke, must have had a 1/4 inch of leaves and dirt in every crevice possible. I was literally shocked once Jenny and I got it to the shop and cleaned it up, it's one of the cleanest and straightest E34's I've ever seen.
Haha another bimmer guy! I've got an e36 m3 (sedan).

My youngest son, Mr Moneybags, had a 2014 Vette. It was a piece of crap. Constant electrical problems . Luckily he bottomed the thing out and totalled it one night. Then he bought a new ish GT Mustang . Didnt like it and sold it. He's been driving my truck for a while as he was looking for something he liked. He wanted a soldi C6 Vette to satisfy his inner moustache but nothing decent has p[opped up local. I have been in Pittsburgh all week and noticed something in Eastern Ohio and went over today to check it out and I ultimately bought it for him. His money of course. 2009 lS3 vette. Dont know whats been done to it other than long tube headers and no cats , or mufflers but its a beast. This ones feeling closer to 500 HP than the stock 430 and Ive been around enough to tell.

Got to drive it home 600 miles tomorrow.

Gotta love those! Even the balsa wood floorboards help save weight, LOL. They look great but Chevrolet's construction methods leave a LOT to be desired. My parents also had a vette while I was in highschool, it also had electrical issues and eventually died a fiery death along the freeway. Let's hope yours works out better.

Got a ticket on Hwy 30 for dangerous passing by a cute Deputy.

I was driving my 2007 Acura TSX (60Kmiles) and I perceived that I had plenty of room - she disagreed. I had already stopped accelerating at 80 mph and still had plenty of room to pull back into my lane.

If you haven't driven a TSX, you should try one. No silly turbos, just instant power. 50 mph to 80 mph in about 2 seconds, which is usually sufficient. An extra 20 mph in another 2 seconds.

$265 ticket. Bummer :(

Awww, what a tough way to get home…. Great looking ride!

2017 Subaru STI Limited. Bought the car used with about 4K miles on it almost 5 years ago. Just paid it off too, and it feels so good! She'll get to spend a bit more time in the garage once I decide on a new toy. :D
