Ya. Surgery sucks.
But I'm grateful for it. If I was born in some turd world country. Or 100 years ago.
I would have just been another spent 50 year old man.
By shaving down 30 years of bone growth to my shoulder. And sewing up the damage caused by the spurs. I was basically allowed to reset my shoulder odometer from 275,000 miles to 60,000.
I just need to do my part and eat right, drink right, and keep walking to promote healing.
Along with the PT exercises and stretching I'm responsible for at home.
I don't take this gift for granted. And much of the outcome is in my hands.
