Thanks. But given my predilection for Mausers and my avatar I think "Herr Oberst" would be more appropriate A Cut Above Pawn has been good to me.Even an antique. Very pretty Colonel, very pretty...
no classic side by side or sexy G43 but I did add another antique Mauser to my collection. Meet Julia, an 1895 Chilean Mauser made by Loewe. 7x57 goodness. So now I add another caliber to shoot
Of course I have the bayonets. What's the sense of collecting Mausers without the bayonets. If you have any bayonets I'll figure out how to make a bayonet practice dummy that we can skewer
Oh no doubt. I love comparing the design progression of the bolts alone. It is technical history right in my hands.Paul Mauser sure did a fantastic job designing and building them, especially when you consider they were getting bombed pretty often! Add to the fact the amount of machining that had to go into the construction! Pretty amazing when you look at the design and it's history! I sure do love mine a lot!

If worse comes to worse you can use a boxing body bag; that's what we had in BCT at Ft. OrdExcellent. I cant find anyone online who sells a bayonet practice dummy (Im disappointed, America ) so I'll stop by Joann Fabrics and get some burlap and make my own. I need to try out my tactical wizard staff / spear anyway.
Damn Bolus, I don't think I have enough.
I've drooled over my Grandfather's carbine. Too bad my Uncle absconded with it. *sigh* one of these days...View attachment 302140
