We had some miscreant shoot a bald eagle last year near the river here in the county. I would gladly pay 1000.00 to anyone that would identify who did it........way to many bad people that give the rest of us a terrible reputation.

Sigh!!! Will this krap never end? Actually no, it won't! But the judiciary needs to make it sizzling uncomfortable for these felons!

I'm not a hunter, although I sure enjoy some backstrap. But reading articles like this really freaking P me off!

If they were on hard times and eating what they killed, I'd probably shrug my shoulders. In my mind human life is more important than animals... that's if they're starving. But thrill killing and wasting wildlife is unacceptable. Very unfortunate to learn of so much wasted premium resources. Just my opinion

My grandfather used to tell the story about fall woodcutting outside Grangeville. He shot a deer early in the morning to take to a needy family in town. Covered it with firewood and stoped at the resturaunt on Main Street for breakfast on the way home. The Game warden came in and sat next to him at the counter. After a few pleasantries the warden told him he had better move his truck before it bleeds to death..........legitimate use of a resource is much less of a sin than waste or greed.

They should cut there hands off. Can't poach with no hands. ;)
I think if any of us stumbled upon poachers like this, we'd be in an unexpected situation where we have to draw. There are numerous instances of game wardens stumbling into a poaching camp and being murdered. In Michigan, in the '80's, I knew a handful of families from upstate who fed themselves violating deer. I never thought a thing about it. They were dirt poor in a crappy economy with few job opportunities, yet chose to live up there. Who could blame them - rural Michigan is gorgeous. I did take pause at one of the juggies on a seismic crew - he harvested road kill every opportunity he could.

We have a fairly new Idaho law legalizing the harvest of road kill......all you have to do is call the Sheriff. Off course, last year there was a large buck reported to have been road kill. My buddy investigated, no damage to the truck and a bullet hole in the carcass.........."I think we have a problem"

Why I don't go lolly gagin around the woods without a second person with me and armed. Things like this are wrong plain and simple. If the warden or one of us stumble across a family man on hard times and is dragging a deer to his 10 speed bike to get it homeo_O Pretty sure most of us would help him.

Be careful out there folks..
